Inauguration Report: CSR Initiative by Durgapur Sundaram Welfare Society
7-Feb-2024On the 7th of February 2024, Durgapur Sundaram Welfare Society marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This philanthropic endeavor was made possible through generous funding from SGW, Kulti, as part of their dedicated CSR commitment.
The distinguished event witnessed the presence of notable personalities, including Mr. Suvashis Sengupta, Chief General Manager (CGM), and a group of General Managers (GM) comprising Mr. D Ghosh, Mr. Krishnendu Dey, Mr. Aloke Chandra Dey, and Mr. RS Mahavar. Additionally, Deputy Managers Mr. Gourav Das, Dr Mishra Deputy CMO, and Mr. Zeeshan Adil AGM were also in attendance, highlighting the collective commitment to societal welfare.
The CSR project entails the commencement of tailoring classes, scheduled six days a week, 3 hours class every day, by Durgapur Sundaram Welfare Society. The targeted beneficiaries are women aged 18 and above, aiming to equip them with valuable tailoring skills. This initiative is strategically designed to empower these women, enabling them to integrate this proficiency into their entrepreneurial pursuits, ultimately securing their livelihoods.
